I was always convinced that there was nothing better in life than chocolate.  Chocolate is the epitome of what it means to be perfect: it comes in all shapes and sizes, it is rich in flavor, it comes from different parts of the world, it can be bitter or sweet, it is always there to comfort people, it never gets stale, and it is pretty. Honestly, what is there not to like? 

 

When I was awakened at the ripe age of 5 with all of these spectacular qualities that chocolate posesses, I decided that everything in my life from that point on would have to meet this criteria. Well, at the not-so-ripe age of 21, I can finally say that I have found something that passes the chocolate test.  Actually, it passes with flying colors.

 

Yep, you guessed it - Deltones.  So maybe it took me 16 years to find perfection, but hey, it's like they say, "Better late than never."  It is nearly impossible to take for granted the amazing things I have learned to appreciate in life because of Deltones.  We surely come in different shapes and sizes and we are totally rich with a unique flavor and style.  And believe it or not, we don't all come from Delaware or New York, we come from other places in the world like the Phillipines and Mississippi.  But more importantly, we are extremely diverse individuals that share one common bond - we are best friends.  We are always there for eachother in good times and bad, we will never get old or stale (15 years going strong!) and we are PRETTY damn it!!! 

 

And I know I didn't talk about Deltones being bitter or sweet because it's both.  How is it fair to meet your best friends only to to leave them after graduation?  Well, it's not fair - it's bittersweet.  But it passes the chocolate test so it must be perfect.
